Asahikawa Sinkin Bank builds inheritance management system as part of its digital transformation strategy
Introducing MotionBoard to centralize inheritance administration at 40 branches, and eliminate approximately 3,000 work hours per year

WingArc1st Inc.

WingArc1st Inc. is pleased to announce that Asahikawa Shinkin Bank has implemented the BI dashboard, MotionBoard, as a company-wide data utilization platform and built an inheritance management system. The bank centralized the inheritance administration work of 40 branches at headquarters, reducing administrative work by approximately 3,000 hours per year.

■ Background
Asahikawa Shinkin Bank was in urgent need of replacing its BI tools following a Windows upgrade. The bank faced challenges with inefficient data collection, leading to delays in information disclosure and an inability to fully utilize accumulated data. Particularly in inheritance-related operations, verifying official documents such as family register copies and seal certificates required specialized knowledge, consuming significant processing time and placing a heavy burden on branch operations.

As the bank worked to transform its business through digital technology, it formulated a DX strategy in May 2024 and began considering the introduction of BI tools to support its data analysis platform, leading to the introduction of MotionBoard.

The key points for implementation are:
・A BI tool with data entry and simple workflow functions
・Operability that enables ease of use in the field
・Report output using SVF integrated with data utilization (*1)

■ Effects of implementation
At the same time as introducing MotionBoard, the bank established an Inheritance Center Preparation Office with the aim of centralizing inheritance affairs at headquarters, and began building an inheritance management system using MotionBoard. Full-scale operation began at all 40 branches in July 2025, completing the centralization of inheritance administration that had previously been handled by sales branches. Previously, administrative processing took an average of two hours per branch, or approximately 1,500 cases per year. This will now be centralized at headquarters, which is expected to reduce branch administrative work by approximately 3,000 hours per year. The time saved will be used to make new proposals to customers.

Benefits of an inheritance management system:
・The previous process of printing out and checking an average of 10 inquiry forms from the accounting system could now be completed with a single inheritance inquiry form that consolidates only the necessary information.
・By entering patterns such as whether or not there is a will or an estate division agreement, and the composition of heirs, the necessary documents are automatically determined and can be managed in a list, which greatly helps prevent mistakes.

In addition to this, several other systems are running on MotionBoard, including a customer inquiry system, follow-up reports for the special guarantee system with accompanying support, and inquiries about the number of transfers by client. The bank built its system in-house while utilizing customer success support and the AI assistant for MotionBoard, and has been flexibly adapting to changes due to legal amendments and other factors, modifying the system to meet business requirements and constantly maintaining the system in line with the latest operations.

The bank is also promoting digital transformation by collecting ideas for utilizing data using MotionBoard and fostering awareness among branch staff to proactively consider how to utilize data.
