EcoNiPass available to 1,400 locations in Kashima City, Saga Prefecture for CO2 emissions calculations

WingArc1st Inc. is pleased to announce that it has partnered with Kashima City, Saga Prefecture, to provide its CO2 emissions visualization platform. EcoNiPass will be available free of charge to public facilities and businesses throughout Kashima City, which has been recognized as an SDG "Future City".

Under Zero Carbon City Declaration (*), Kashima City aims to achieve virtually zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
Citizens, businesses, and the government are working together to reduce emissions by 59% by 2030 compared to 2013, and to achieve net-zero by 2050.

By providing EcoNiPass to approximately 1,400 public facilities and companies throughout Kashima City, it will be possible to get an overall understanding of CO2 emissions from industry, understand trends in energy usage, and identify and provide support for issues through data analysis. Furthermore, the CO2 emissions reductions will be sold to local businesses via Kashima City or returned as eco-points, accelerating the promotion of Green Transformation (GX), including carbon-neutral initiatives that circulate the economy within the region.
As part of our educational activities, we will be holding regular lectures on carbon neutrality and calculation methods using EcoNiPass in the city.

We will continue to work with local governments across the country to contribute to regional revitalization through local government DX and GX.
