WingArc1st Inc.
WingArc1st Inc. is pleased to announce that Daiwa House Industry has released its integrated platform solution, SPAIS, to build a common digital document infrastructure for 31 group companies. The move from paper to digital documents has streamlined back-office operations and reduced system operation burden through common integrated management.

Daiwa House's digital document platform and system integration
Background
Daiwa House Industry is promoting the digitalization of its back office as part of its digital transformation strategy. In order to respond to the growing need for digitalization in the construction industry, where operations using paper forms are still deeply rooted, the company was considering building digital form infrastructure that could comply with the Electronic Books Preservation Act as a common platform and enable the digitization and storage of paper forms for a wide range of business operations. SPAIS will be used by 31 companies, including the head office and group companies, and is designed to be a common scalable platform.
Key points for implementing SPAIS are:
・ Compliance with the Electronic Books Preservation Act and integration with various companies' accounting systems through a wide range of Web APIs
・Extensive and flexible functions for a digital document platform, such as archiving documents from business systems, updating attribute information, and integrated authority management
・Scalability to accommodate long-term storage of ever-increasing data
・On-premises pricing system that is easy for group companies to use
Benefits of implementation
In October 2023, just nine months after deciding to implement it, Daiwa House Industry built its Electronic Books Preservation Act compliant digital document infrastructure based on SPAIS, and started operating it at 31 companies, including its headquarters and group companies. This digital document platform automatically links the group's common database, its shared core systems, and each company's individual systems, enabling automatic linkage and integrated operation of approximately 30 types of document data, including accounting data and contracts.
Main benefits of the implementation:
・Strengthened security: Creating a secure operating environment by setting access rights
・Paperless: Improved searchability and convenience by digitizing the management and operation of approximately 30 types of documents, including accounting data and contracts
・Reduced operational burden: Integrated management has relieved the need for operation and maintenance of each group company's system, including compliance with the Electronic Books Preservation Act, and has also reduced the workload of Media Tech which handles IT for the Daiwa House Group.
・Automatic linkage with personnel data: By linking with personnel data such as personnel information, authority, and passwords, system permissions are automatically changed when personnel are transferred.
Going forward, Daiwa House Industry will continue to place great importance on utilizing stored and accumulated data, working to improve work efficiency and create high-added-value time, promoting the "digitalization of the back office" to support diverse working styles, and further strengthening its digital document infrastructure and improving its convenience.
Digital document platform
WingArc digitizes the documents exchanged between and within companies during commercial transactions, and provides a single platform for document generation, storage, and delivery to business partners, as well as receipt from business partners and integration with internal systems. Digital forms, which combine the properties of both form images and data, enable both human work and integration with internal systems such as ERP and workflow, freeing commercial transactions from unproductive tasks.
