Notice of Capital and Business Alliance with CIMTOPS Corporation

WingArc1st Inc. announces that it has entered into a capital and business alliance agreement with CIMTOPS Corporation.

WingArc1st will acquire 75 CIMTOPS shares (22.7% of the total issued shares) on 29 November.

[Background to the capital and business alliance]

In the manufacturing industry, many measures are needed to continuously provide high quality, including controlling raw material and energy costs, supply chains, production efficiency, and responding to new technologies. Given these circumstances, the ability to make decisions and solve problems on the spot when they occur has become a key element in creating a competitive advantage in Japan's manufacturing industry, and it is believed that leveraging this ability to advance digitalization will lead to increased competitiveness in the future.

 In particular, in the assembly manufacturing industry, where the core process is to complete products by assembling individual parts, there is a growing need for digitalization due to the large number of steps and complex supply chains. For this reason, promoting data management is considered to be one of the key factors that determine a company's competitiveness.

 WingArc1st and CIMTOPS have previously improved productivity at manufacturing sites through the integration of the electronic reporting tool i-Reporter and the BI dashboard  MotionBoard. These products are used in a wide range of manufacturing environments, including for creating daily reports, inspection work, maintenance management, and data visualization and analysis.

Through this partnership, in addition to existing product collaboration, the two companies aim to expand the range of proposals they can make to the assembly and processing manufacturing industry, and will begin offering integrated solutions based on data from the field to management. For major manufacturers, the two companies will work together to promote proposals that will contribute to the enhancement of production planning and product planning processes and the creation of smart factories, thereby enhancing the growth potential of companies.
