Public facilities reservation system for municipalities, Rakuriza, launched.

WingArc1st Inc. and Smart Value have launched Rakuriza, a public facilities reservation system for municipalities. Rakuriza will be available on 30 April.

■Background to service provision
The two companies had been conducting a study since November 2022 on a trial public facility reservation system for gymnasiums in Kitakyushu City (*1). As a result, it became clear that the cumbersome procedures at the counter when using public facilities managed by the municipality and the fact that reservation reception times are limited to the opening hours of the facilities are a major inconvenience for citizens. At the same time, facility managers were burdened with the task of applying rules that differed in detail from facility to facility, as well as with the task of collating usage data, which posed a challenge to the efficient management of the facilities.
These issues were factors that hindered the provision of convenient and comfortable services to citizens, and Rakuriza was developed and launched as a public facility reservation system to solve these problems.

Addressing the needs of both facility users and managers, Rakuriza specifically aims to improve ease of use and user experience for a wide range of user groups, including older people. When questioned, 85% of the elderly population, who made up 73% of survey responses, expressed positive satisfaction with the use of Rakuriza. This is a strong indication that Rakuriza is an effective solution to their current challenges.

In future we will make this solution available through the Digital Agency's digital marketplace (*2), adapting to the latest policies and standards of digitization and contributing to solving social issues and improving the attractiveness of digitizing public administration.
