Digital Invoice Demonstration Experiment in Kitakyushu City
Invoices received by Peppol along with the Digital Agency from February.

WingArc1st Inc. in collaboration with the City of Kitakyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture and the Digital Agency, will begin a proof of concept of the Peppol digital invoice standard in Kitakyushu City.
This experiment aims to demonstrate improved efficiency of administrative work related to procurement and billing in Kitakyushu City, and support Kitakyushu City's vision of becoming a city where people can earn money by improving efficiency, thereby returning profits to the community.
WingArc1st has entered into a contract with the City of Kitakyushu for the Kitakyushu Model, which aims to solve regional issues (*), and this demonstration is part of the city's efforts to promote the digitization of administrative procedures. WingArc1st will continue to support DX in Kitakyushu City and its municipalities.

The digital invoice follows an internationally standardized structure, allowing direct data linkage between seller and buyer systems. The Digital Agency is taking the lead in promoting this system.

■Peppol
Peppol (Pan European Public Procurement Online) is a global standard specification that defines operating rules for exchanging electronic documents such as invoices over a network. It is managed by OpenPeppol, a Belgian international non-profit organization. It is currently in use in more than 30 countries, including not only European countries but also countries outside Europe such as Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore. The Japanese administrator is the Digital Agency, and JP PINT is the standard specification for digital invoices exchanged between the seller's access point (C2) and the buyer's access point (C3).
