WingArc1st Inc is pleased to announced that on July 15 it started providing the access points necessary for sending and receiving digital invoices as a Peppol service provider. Sumitomo Mitsui Finance & Leasing Company, Limited (SMFL), which is using our digital business form platform, invoiceAgent, has registered its Peppol ID and will participate in our demonstration as part of its consideration of the introduction of digital invoices.
In the demonstration, we will deliver and receive invoices to SMFL using Peppol. After verifying the effectiveness, we plan to expand the scope to include Peppol connections with other companies.
Here is SMFL's endorsement of this press release announcement:
One of the strategies in our mid-term management plan, "Fundamental Reform of Existing Businesses," is the thorough digitization of our business operations. We see the use of Peppol as a major advantage in moving beyond the digitization of paper to the digitization of data transmission to and from contractors and other parties to improve operational efficiency. We believe that starting preparations and studies ahead of time now will lead to solutions not only for our company but also for social issues.
Sumitomo Mitsui Finance & Leasing Company, Limited
As a Peppol service provider, we will continue to contribute to the promotion of back-office DX.

Title: User voice about the possibilities of Peppol-enabled digital invoices

・Summary: With the launch of the invoice system in October 2023, the workload for sorting documents and matching qualified invoicing business registration numbers in billing-related operations is expected to increase.
