WingArc1st and NTT DATA BIZINTEGRAL Corporation Collaborate on Digital Invoices

invoiceAgent and Biz∫ now compatible with Peppol

WingArc1st Inc.

WingArc1st and NTT DATA BIZINTEGRAL Corporation have announced a business alliance between WingArc 1st's electronic document management platform, invoiceAgent (*1) and NTT DATA BIZINTEGRAL's ERP package, Biz∫ (*2). This new service is compatible with Japan's digital invoice standard specification (JP PINT), which is based on Peppol (*3). The service will enable companies to not only streamline their entire back-office operations, but also automate processes for both the sending and receiving of invoices and contracts, thereby digitizing the entire business transaction.

The digitalization of invoicing operations, which had previously been conducted mainly among large companies and in certain industries through EDI, will enter the stage of practical application as the Digital Agency begins its efforts to promote and establish JP PINT. By supporting digital invoicing, companies will be able to automate tasks such as issuing invoices, journalizing, and calculating tax deductions. This is expected to significantly reduce accounting workload even after the invoicing system is introduced.

Alliance summary
In this alliance, WingArc1st delivers and receives Peppol data as a Peppol service provider (*4), and Biz∫ generates the billing data required for its delivery.
The delivering (billing) company can integrate the billing data created by Biz∫ with invoiceAgent and deliver the data to the recipient via the Peppol network. On the other hand, at the receiving (billed) company side, the Peppol data (xml format) is converted into the invoice format, and the billing data can be viewed. In addition, Peppol ID management, status management, and invoice data storage are available.

Delivering and receiving through Peppol

Benefit for the alliance
By using these functions, the delivering company can reduce the burden of printing and shipping costs and shorten the transaction cycle. On the other hand, the receiving company can eliminate the need for sorting qualified invoices, and can also significantly reduce the workload for matching qualified invoices, by automatically obtaining the registered business number, automatically determining whether or not an item is on a qualified invoice, and checking for a match between the detailed amount and the total amount.

Future Alliance
The two companies will continue to expand delivery and receipt methods to further improve convenience, such as reducing the cost of voucher entry by importing received invoice data into the business system. Both companies will continue to promote the use of digital invoicing and support companies that are working to digitize and streamline their invoicing operations.
